Gaps Analysis and Impacts Document (GAID) version 3 released

Work package/Task:
WP6
The latest version of our Gaps Analysis and Impacts Document (GAID) is now available. The purpose of the Gaps Assessment and Impacts Document (GAID) is to provide:

  (i) the latest status of the on-line catalogue,
(ii) to provide an analysis of the list of gaps by taking different cross-sections through  the full catalogue.

This catalogue is not limited solely to those gaps which are envisaged to be (partly) remedied within GAIA-CLIM. Although  some gaps may be (partly) remedied within the project (e.g. through developments related to the Virtual Observatory), for other gaps, remedies will be out-of-scope for the GAIA-CLIM project. The gaps are presented in a SMART form with part of the assessment including an analysis of scientific and societal impacts of the gaps, potential remedies that have been identified, and an early assessment of the feasibility of resolution of the gap (remedies and gap prioritization).

We encourage user-feedback on the GAID through:
  (i) Our user workshops: the next workshop is coming up on November 21st-23rd in Brussels, and we welcome you to join us by registering your interest.
(ii) Providing feedback on individual gaps in the catalogue by completing the template on external input and emailing it to us at gaid@gaia-clim.eu.
